Eight "Accolades of Excellence" for Tropical Imaging at WPPI 2007!
Every year, WPPI , the leading professional association for wedding and portrait photographers, holds its convention in Las Vegas. And one of its most prestigious contests is the 16x20 Print Competition, open to professional photographers worldwide. This year we decided to enter - the first time we have ever entered a photography competition...
We entered twelve images, three by each of our principal photographers. The contest attracted over 2700 entries from around the world, including images by some of the very top names in our industry.
When the results were announced on Wednesday we were thrilled to find that eight out of our twelve images scored over 80 points, receiving an "Accolade of Excellence", and were featured in the exhibition of the 150 top images at the WPPI convention. They will also appear in the WPPI commemorative yearbook for 2007, to be published later this year.
In addition, all of our remaining entries scored between 77 and 79 points, so remarkably we were very close to achieving a "full house"!
