For the last 3 or even 4 years we have been delighted to help the Turks and Caicos Tourist Board with a photo shoot of the contestants for Miss Turks and Caicos (or Miss Earth TCI – I think it is this year?).

We do it for free, it’s fun and the girls are great to work with. This year it’s a little more low-key (naturally) so it was just a quick two-hour shoot near our studio and on Grace Bay Beach.

Not too hard, you might think – but we only had a single day in which to shoot it, and a day and a half allowed to download and edit the footage into a finished piece!

Renowned photojournalists Dirck Halstead and PF Bentley brought their “Platypus Workshop” to our Neptune Plaza office to turn the four of us into “filmmakers” – in other words to teach us how to transform our wedding and commercial video productions into professional video documentaries, with the style and impact of TV shows such as NBC’s 60 Minutes and ABC’s Nightline.
